Anon hate from the late 1800’s.

What I love most about this is that this person was SO INCENSED at the recipient that they couldn’t even wait the days/weeks it would take for the mail to go through. No, they had to say “FUCK YOU” as soon as fucking possible and, AND, let the recipient that they were not done with the fuck you, nay, this was merely the first volley in what would undoubtably be a dressing down of Biblical proportions.

i will gleefully reblog this every time i see it

Shieldy madness!

Almost all of these are canon per the toolset filenames.  The only ones I chose for my own map-making and storytelling purposes are:

  • West Hill (actually Andruil: Goddess of the Hunt according to filename)
  • River Dane (just called “bear paw” in the filename)
  • Lothering (god of “dhfna” according to the filename but I’ll be damned if I can find a corresponding elvehn god for those letters - suggestions welcome).

The Avvar one is Hakkon Wintersbreath, one of the Avvar gods, so not the heraldry of the entire Avvar race but still applicable.

If the heraldry had a shield-shaped background I just expanded that to fill the shield; it seemed silly to have some sort of meta-shield thing going on.

I’m going to post the individual shields for some of the ones that don’t have defined places/groups or wouldn’t show up in my story/maps in the next post.

Leaf bug (Phyllium giganteum)

The constant wobbling as they move is a part of their disguise, making it seem as though the “leaf” is only moving because of a light breeze.

If you blow on one it will also shake around in the hopes of matching any actual surrounding leaves

siren-comstock:

sometimes i think about how portal was a game with no male characters, featuring a WOC protagonist and an excellent female antagonist who were both anything but sexualised, and yet somehow still managed to create an interesting and engaging experience for female and male gamers alike, win awards, and get a sequel, and then i look at people who say “games with female protagonists don’t sell” and i laugh. for a very long time.
